NOTE: THIS COMPETITION IS ONLY AVAILABLE DURING INTERNATIONAL LEVEL.
TEAM – COACH
Participation in the competition is team-based.
Each team may consist of one (1) to two (2) members.
Each team must designate up to one (1) Robot Athlete Contestant. Only the Robot Athlete Contestant is allowed in the waiting area or competition area. The rest of the team can watch the matches behind the control spots.
The team is allowed to change the designated Contestant before each attempt on the track, to give all members the opportunity to be actively involved in the sport, although this is not mandatory.

Field Procedures
🤝TEAM ROLES
Each team assigns one of the following two roles to each drone ball:
Defender
Golden Ball Drone.
Each team must report their roles to the referee before the start of the match.
📝 ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
➤ Golden Ball Drone: Only the Golden Ball Drone can score. A goal is only counted if this drone ball passes through the hoop.
➤ Defender: The Defender's role is to prevent the opposing alliance's attack. The Defender cannot stay in front of the hoop for more than 3 seconds. Otherwise, the team will be penalized by having the Defender drone removed for the remainder of the match.
⚽ GOAL
A goal is achieved only when the Golden Ball Drone passes entirely through the opposing team's hoop.
🔄 CHANGE TIME
Between the matches of a group, a time of 1 minute will be given to each team. In this minute if a team wishes, it can change contestant. If the new contestant does not arrive within 1 minute, the previous contestant will continue in the next match.
⏱️ MATCH DURATION
The match has a total duration of 2 minutes.
There is no half time. The teams keep the same number of goals in all 2 minutes of the game.
During the match, time runs continuously, without stopping the clock at all.
When teams are not playing, they can make corrections to their Drone Ball Player.
Before each match the Drone Balls will go through a technical check carried out by the referee.
⚠️🛠️ MATCH PREPARATION - RESTRICTIONS
At the start of the match, the drone balls are placed on the court floor within the red or blue area, depending on the color of each alliance.
The match begins with a countdown of '3, 2, 1, Go!' by the judge. All drone balls must take off after the referee's countdown.
If a team scores a goal, the judge records the goal for the team without stopping the time.
If some drone balls get stuck together, the judge may order the drone balls to land and restart the match.
The judge will issue a "red card" if it is determined that a drone ball is intentionally trying to destroy an opponent's drone ball. In this case, the drone ball is ejected from the match, and the team continues with 1 drone ball. The referee will ask the drone ball contestant to land the ball and deactivate it without stopping the match.
It is prohibited for any drone ball of the defending team to intentionally remain stationary in front of the goal or to move parallel to the goal line for more than 3 seconds. If the judge determines such a case, the drone ball will be ejected from the match, and the team will continue with 1 drone ball.
The judges' decisions are final. Disputes of these decisions can only be submitted to the Head Judges. Disputing the final decisions of the Head Judges may lead to a team or alliance being disqualified.
🩹 DRONE BALL INJURY
➤ A Drone Ball is considered injured by the judge when:
A part of it has been disassembled.
It remains stationary (lost connection with the controller).
An injured drone ball remains on the ground in the playing field until the 2-minute match is completed. The team can repair their drone ball after the match ends so that it can continue in the next game.
If all the drone balls of an alliance are injured and out of play, the judge stops the match and allows 2 minutes for repairs. After the 2-minute period, the match will resume, even if only one drone ball returns to the playing field.
